The Brief

Home remodel, Westbury Park

The clients came to us having just purchased the property, wanting a lighter and more generous open plan layout that enhanced the features of the property and responded to their needs as a growing family. The brief was to replace the cramped and awkward kitchen with a modern and inviting space with great natural light and access to the re-landscaped rear garden.

The Challenge

The proposal had to respect the scale, proportions and appearance of the historic building, whilst providing a series of re-imagined spaces to suit the requirements of modern living. Poor internal layouts and redundant garden buildings hindered the property’s potential, and a clear vision was needed to bring the property back to life.

The Solution

The final proposals include a new single storey rear extension to provide enhanced kitchen, living, dining space and access to rear garden with improved landscaping. A variety of bespoke joinery was designed and installed, including a window seat with shelving that provided style and purpose to the space. Reconsideration of the existing first and second floor layouts allowed for the creation and improvement of three bathrooms and a generous sized utility room.
